Beeswax Candles ..... Feeling Crafty? (& Cheap?)

I went to buy a Beeswax candle the other day & was FLOORED by how bloody expensive it was. A 3" diameter candle about 4" tall was 30$ & this seemed to be the standard price at several stores I went to. No wonder so many people buy cheap candles from the dollar store. I could buy a CRATE of cheap candles for that price at Honest Ed's.
I wanted beeswax though. I like the smell, I like to support local folks, I like that they are not bad for you in terms of heavy perfumes, & they are non toxic! They even produce negative ions which is supposed to be good for you! (I mostly buy because I really like the smell, I am not going to pretend otherwise.)  So rather than shell out for a candle I will burn & forget about, my inner cheapskate prompted me to figure out how to make one. I learned about how to do it on you tube. I got the beeswax at 10$ for 1lb brick at my local health food store. I got old tea cups for free that weren't selling from Dale's business. Wicks were a super cheap find on Ebay at 5$ for 50 wicks. (I got the pretabbed cotton ones) I made 4 teacup candles at 2.5" diameter each for roughly 20$  (Including tax) MY INNER CHEAPSKATE WINS! I also have a new & crafty skill.
